In addition to its large flat clusters of pink flowers in fall, the succulent foliage of this neat compact form is attractively varieg.in cream. S/M-D
‘Clown’ has been around for a long time, but does not get a lot of attention in the trade…the bright yellow succulent leaves widely edged in green are a real standout! Clumping perennial with upright stems to 12” spreading to 18-24”; creamy white small starry flowers in flattish clusters in late summer > fall. Pinch out any green shoots. Full sun, most soils with reasonable drainage, occasional water.
A clumping, winter dormant perennial grown for it's highly ornamental, pale yellow, green edged, rubbery leaves, which surround the thick, succulent, erect stems, and it's dome-like heads of densely packed, star shaped, pale pink flowers which it bears in autumn. A tough, hardy plant for any reasonably sunny, well drained position. Excellent in pots, it handles the confined root space well and isn't demanding on water.Cut back to ground level in winter. The stems can be pruned back in late spring to make the plant more compact and to delay flowering.
