Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A curious sage, small soft blue flowers appear among deep red bracts that are clustered together somewhat like a pine cone. Mid green deeply textured broadly lance shaped leaves densely cloth the square stems to become quite shrubby. After persevering with it for several years it would appear to be better suited to the east coast from Sydney northwards or the Kimberley, being neither very tolerant of frost or dry heat as with so many of the soft leaved winter flowering sages. Unlikely to be offered again.
