A highly regarded 1-2' shrubby plant with violet-purple flowers in slender spikes that blend so nicely with yellow yarrows and potentillas. S/M
Formerly known as Salvia nemerosa. Evergreen shrub with small olive-green leaves and rich violet-blue flowers held in royal purple bracts. Plants grow to 3' tall and half as wide and bloom from summer till fall. Use in large pots or sunny borders and cut back regularly for repeat blooming. Keep established plants on the dry side (moderate to occasional water). Hardy to 0F.
A clumping, evergreen, herbaceous, perennial. Mid - dark green, coarsely textured, 10cm long, lance shape leaves grow from a woody rootstock, to form dense mounds. From spring to late autumn, erect spikes of rich, blue-purple flowers appear in profusion on leafy stems growing flat to the ground. Cut back each stem as it finishes, more will come from the centre.
