Salvia mexicana is a broadleaf evergreen perennial with green foliage. In fall and summer blue and purple flowers emerge. Features fuzzy texture. Attracts bees, beneficial insects and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly shade and regular water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average, gritty, rich, rocky and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.
