A small growing evergreen, twiggy subshrub with pairs of elliptical, glossy, mid-green leaves and white striped, square sectioned stems. Bearing in profusion, throughout summer, hooded, 2-lipped, tubular, creamy lemon blooms. Provide with well drained soil, plenty of sun and make sure it doesn't get too wet during winter and this charming little Salvia, one of the few yellows, will reward you for many years. Do not cut back hard, remove only dead branches as necessary. While many Salvia are brittle Iced Lemon is particularly so. Plant away from paths or other areas subject to traffic.
