Miscanthus sinensis 'Flamingo' is a distinctive maiden grass with slightly pendant, light pink flower plumes which emerge earlier than most cultivars in late summer and rise to 5-6 feet tall. The plumes gradually change to silver white and remain for months providing much winter interest. The narrow foliage has a prominent white midrib and changes to rich colours of orange in fall before turning tan coloured. Plants provide good winter interest with persistent flower plumes and tan foliage. Deer resistant.
