Nursery contributed plant descriptions

2-3’ mounds of strongly dissected foliage create a handsome scene… top that with pretty-in-pink flowers with darker eyes on taller stems in May>June. Short lived perennial or biennial perpetuates itself through reliable reseeding. We think it’s worth growing for foliage alone but the flowers are a showy bonus. Little care required; sun to part shade, average garden soils, moderate water. Rabbit, deer and drought resistant. Attracts butterflies.
An evergreen mounding perennial. Five lobed, bright green leaves are held on long fleshy stems, which radiate from a central trunk, to form a large dense mound. Throughout summer masses of purple-pink, crimson centred, saucer shaped flowers are produced in large branching heads. Collect seed to grow each year as plants may not be long lived.
