Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Formerly known as Escallonia viscosa, these are from cuttings from the plant grown in the Vashon garden of plantsman John Flintoff where it thrived on his hot south-facing wall. Give it a lean soil and grow it with tough love which will make it hardier. Fragrant white flowers and aromatic almost sticky foliage. Deer couldn't like this.
