aka Cheiranthus allionii, most properly now Erysimum x marshallii. Siberian Wallflowers, most traditionally grown as biennials sown in late summer for bloom along side tulips the following spring, but they're quite happy to perennialize, especially if you deadhead. Alternatively, let them go to seed and they'll self-sow. Zone 4.
A most easy to grow Wallflower bearing delightful, brilliant orange, spicy-scented flower clusters Spring through early Summer. Loves poor soil! Neighborhood bees & butterflies will thank you, too! Deadhead & you may get another batch of blooms in late Summer. Leave blooms on if you want bunches of babies, as it readily self seeds. Great for cutting! Evergreen foliage makes a nice 2’x 2’ mound. Cute combined with Viola nigra' Bowles Black' or Viola corsica. Great in containers!
