Bright-blue foliage is the most noteworthy characteristic of this upright, fairly narrow pine. Also, its cone production begins at an early age, making this Dutch selection even more ornamental.
A moderate growing pyramidal pine, this short 5-needled pine is much bluer than most varieties. Growth Rate medium
A faster growing form of Japanese white pine with blue-green needles highlighted with silver undersides. Salt tolerant and a vigorous grower. Originated at Gimborn Arboretum in Holland in 1965.
A 1969 Gimborn introduction it is rather fast growing with dark silvery blue foliage and a classic parviflora habit.
Pinus parviflora 'Templehof' - Japanese White Pine. Faster growing blue cultivar needles in groups of five and very straight on stem. Found at the Gimborn Arboretum in Holland by Konijn Nurseries in about 1965. Prefers full sun in well-drained soil.
