This venerable species found growing natively only in southeast Tibet is largest of the Cupressus species, the largest known specimen is the famous 'King Cypress' measuring 150' tall, 15'wide and thought to be 2,600 years old, these trees generally reach 75-100' tall and are irregularly conical in form with soft-green scale-like leaves that are beautiful against its gorgeous fibrous orange-brown bark; this tree is listed as vulnerable in its native habitat.
