This fairly new Rutgers University hybrid is disease resistant as are the other Rutgers hybrids. The foliage is a bright yellow-gold variegation. The flowers have rounded white bracts similar to cornus nuttallii.
Celestial Shadow Dogwood is a choice ornamental tree that will dazzle all season long. The variegated leaves begin in spring with a generous margin of yellow followed by striking white flowers. The fall colors are spectacular shades of purple and fuchsia. The Celestial Shadow Dogwood is the perfect accent tree offering a high degree of disease and pest resistance. Due to state restrictions, we cannot ship this item to Florida.
Small, deciduous tree with an upright habit. Yellow and green variegated foliage is accompanied by large white flowers in late spring to early summer. Foliage turns wonderful shades of orange and red in the fall. This tree is a mutation of Cornus florida x kousa 'Celestial'. It is sterile and should not produce fruit.
