Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Beautiful, double white, rosette-shaped flowers with yellow stamens. Sometimes greenish-white bloom. Double flowers in May & June and semi-double flowers in Sept. Growth Rate slow to medium
Layer upon layer of white petals create these beautiful 4-6", medium sized, nearly rose-like, double Clematis flowers and may be lightly touched with green. This is a reliable and free flowering heirloom Clematis cultivar that flowers in late spring-early summer and often again in late summer. Pruning group 2 - prune immediately after flowering to promote reblooming. Clematis are often long-lived perennial vines that can live for 50 years+. These small-medium sized vines like conditions where their head is in the sun and their 'feet' are in the shade. A deep mulch, groundcover, or even a rock can provide the cool root zone that these easy perennials prefer.
Fully double 5" flowers are produced on this compact vine in early and late summer. Suitable for containers. Early flowers may be touched with green. This can be a touchy Clematis to grow. Double Flowered Type. George Jackman, England, 1874.
