A miniature Hinoki Cypress that was selected by Joe Reis as a seedling. It makes a great addition in rock gardens and troughs.
Chamaecyparis obtusa 'J.R.' - A nice miniature Japanese Hinoki Cypress. Leaves dark green on a round slightly pointed dwarf fat cone. Plant grows less than 1" a year. The ultimate plant for a trough or container. Plant selected by Joe Reis of Long Island in the late 1960's.
Once again betraying my predilection for tight small buns, we offer this little dwarf Hinoki Cypress. Named for Joe Reiss who found this as a seedling, this might get a foot high and 18" across in ten years. Good for containers as it likely won't outgrow them i your lifetime or ideal in the rock garden.
