Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The large (to 6") round, delicately scalloped leaves of this cultivar are of a handsome grey-green making it attractive all season and a fine cut flower when its feathery sprays of lime-yellow flowers appear in early summer. S-PSh/M
Prolific foliage topped by very large groups of tiny, yellow, star-shaped flowers. A very popular plant with flower arrangers, it is also useful as a border plant and ground cover. Self-seeds readily. Growth Rate medium
This unendingly useful garden edger had other uses in 16th century Europe. It was claimed that linen dipped in a potion of lady's mantle makes sagging breasts hard and firm. Wonderful with Geranium 'Jolly Bee' or 'Rozanne'. Best along pathways where you can see the rain drops collected like jewels upon the lime green, scalloped leaves. The lovely chartreuse flowers are good for cutting. This common plant hails from exotic locales: the eastern Carpathians, Turkey and the Caucasus.
Chartreuse greenish-yellow flowers froth above distinctive leaves with serrated edges. Prefers moist sun or part shade. Alchemilla is often grown as a ground cover. In wet weather water beads on the leaves, making them sparkle. This is due to the remarkable dewetting properties of the leaves, where a thin layer of air penetrates the solid-liquid interface, forming beads of water. These beads were considered by alchemists to be the purest form of water, which they utilized in their quest to turn base metal into gold, hence the name Alchemilla.

Actually less of a Lady's Mantle than a Small Children's Mantle, luring them with theme parks and Jesus juice This pale version is all in all just about the creepiest thing I can think of (Oh and did I mention that the music sucks and the nose is in danger of falling off.) ZONE 5
