Philodendron subincisum this massive species was once known by the name Philo wilsonii. Philodendron subincisum is found near Veracruz in the Poza Rica region at elevations of less than 1,600 feet and rarely found in the wild. The plant is very rare in nature but is a very easy grower and can be found in a few collections in Florida. The large leaves can get 2 to 3 feet long and 2 feet wide with large hastate leaves held out several feet by green petioles. This plant can make a great statement in any tropical garden or greenhouse and could be used as a large interior plant.
