Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Anthurium luxurians (Quilted Heart) is by far one of the most dramatic and unique Anthuriums on the market. It is said that Anthurium veitchii is the King Anthurium and that Anthurium waroqueanum is the queen. If this is the case, Anthurium luxurians has to be the Prince. The foliage is a dark bronze green color with extremely thick leaves that can at times feel as thick as cardboard. The foliage also has a unique shiny look to it that makes it look as though it has been lacquered. On top of that, it is highly corrugated with deep veins and raised surfaces on the foliage. The petioles are square opposed to round and a deep green color. If a dramatic foliage plant is something you're looking for it does not get more dramatic than this. This plant makes an excellent exotic house plant and would do well in a conservatory or greenhouse setting. Foliage: Dark bronze green color leaves with thick leaves Flowers: Brown flower Height: Epiphyte
