Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A delicate combination of white with pink accents. The buds are a soft rose color, as are the floret tubes on the opened white flowers. The florets are distinct on the panicles, as opposed to being massed together and overlapping, as in some larger flowering cultivars. It is both vigorous and floriferous, and only rarely gets mildew. 'Pink Bud' is my 'home name' for this phlox, brought to me sans label, by a fellow phlox fancier. Compared to the similarly tinted 'Monica Lynden-Bell' and 'Mother of Pearl', the face of the pip is all white, yet you see more of the pink tubes - it is also much taller.
