Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Featured in a 1945 Wayside Gardens catalog, with the color described as "true lavender blue". Truly it is lavender and, unusually, has no magenta tones. It has much larger pips than the other lavender-slate colored cultivar "Cool of the Evening". It has grown very well for us in half-shade.
