Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A classic heirloom cultivar from the 1920s, with pink-magenta blossoms, from June into July. Long-blooming and long-lived. Derived from native Phlox maculata, the leaves are considerably different from those of P. paniculata - they are comparatively much thinner, shinier and thicker, and they show superb mildew resistance. Starts blooming about two weeks earlier than the paniculatas.
