Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This lovely ?rib? for the backbone of the late-season garden produces sturdy 2-3' stems topped by gold and chocolate cones surrounded with petals of brick red turning orange-yellow; another U.S. wildflower now popular in Europe. S/M-W
Richly-coloured 2-3 inch wide daisy-like flowers of burned-red petals, fanned around a prominent brown and yellow bi-colour centre. These are borne on tall upright stems that carry smooth-edged lanceolate foliage. Helenium is a wonderful perennial that is easy to grow and provides months of fabulous colour from midsummer through early fall. Their tall stems and long lasting flowers make them ideal for cutting.
?Rubinzwerg? ( = Ruby Dwarf) has good solid dark red petals, and brown eyes. It is shorter than most Heleniums, around 3 ft tall, and blooms in early August.
