Nursery contributed plant descriptions

'Kinlough Beauty' is one of the prettiest pink primroses, a real rose-pink, with faint striping, and a twee yellow eye. It is a small plant, only about 4' tall, but makes a sweet little nugget of a plant. A strong and hardy grower, and easy to increase by division. An older Irish cultivar. Culture: Grow in light shade and a fertile well-watered soil. In cool climates, full sun is acceptable if the soil is moist. If too hot and dry, the plants will yellow and go dormant over summer, but usually leaf out again in fall. Best suited to northern climates, it could well be difficult for southern and western gardeners to keep them happy. Propagate by division after flowering.
Mauve-pink flowers with white stripes going down the middle of each petal; very unique. Has proven to be a good performer and long lived grower for us.
