Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Selenicereus grandiflorus is a jungle cactus often found growing as a epiphyte or climbing up trees. The plant produces long snake like segments that are 1 to 2 feet long and have white thorns. The thorns are not vicious as with most jungle cactus but can get you if you handle the plant with out some caution. The flowers are quite amazing and some of the largest I have seen in my greenhouse. Light yellow to off white in color they bloom at night or early morning and can be over 1 foot across. Plants sold are rooted in 4 to 4 1/2 inch pots.
Partial Shade to Shade. Indoor. White flowers 6 to 8 inches long or more.
