Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Agave franzosinii is a large and striking century plant, growing up to 8 feet tall by 10 feet wide. It boasts a single, open rosette of broad, powdery bluish-gray leaves with undulating margins and a dark brown terminal spine. The underside of the leaves may have dark green patterns, giving the plant a distinct variegation. The plant produces a towering yellow flower inflorescence, attracting birds and bees. It is cold hardy to 15 degrees F, but use caution when working around it as its spines and sap can be dangerous. One of the most beautiful and distinctive agaves for a large garden. Full sun exposure and low water needs complete the ideal growing conditions for this species.

This plant has been grown in a 2 ga pot. The plant is shipped "dry root" (without dirt).
