Hamamelis vernalis 'Sandra' is a broadleaf deciduous shrub or tree with green foliage. In spring and winter yellow flowers emerge. One of our favorite fall coloring shrubs. H. v. 'Sandra' has purple new growth in spring and early summer. In the fall, the foliage turns glowing red and will have color for three weeks. We understand that there isn't a fall color on H. 'Sandra' in the southeast. But in our part of the country, it is superb.
