Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of our favorite fall coloring shrubs. H.v. 'Sandra' has purple new growth in spring and early summer. In the fall, the foliage turns glowing red and will have color for three weeks. We understand that there isn't a fall color on H. 'Sandra' in the southeast. But in our part of the country it is superb. All hamamelis listed by Gossler Farms in the Fall/Spring 2024/2025 catalog are hardy to at least -12° in their Springfield, Oregon garden, and all are grafted plants.
A shrub for all seasons: the leaves of this med-lrg shrub open a plum-purple change in sumr to green ; again in fall when it"ignites into orange, scarlet ; red(Hillier);winter' s blessed with cadmium-yellow flwrs. S-PSh/M
