Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Bloody Dock is an old name that was used for this edible plant veined in blood-red. We much prefer the name sorrel. It has smooth glossy leaves traced with dark red veining. The young leaves are edible; the full- grown plant is an exciting addition to containers or the all-in-one garden. Cut back to the ground to renew growth of fresh tender leaves. Self sows.
