Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Small subshrub from New Zealand creates a petite flattened mound 6-10” in height; good rock garden selection, edger, container or anywhere its sweet little self can be appreciated. Small saucer shaped flowers spring and fall are white to pale rose with contrasting darker venation, attracts butterflies. Sun to part shade, well drained soils, moderate moisture. USDA Z8 4” pot
Graham Stuart Thomas referred to the Parahebes as 'little treasures', and once you get to know this charming New Zealand native you'll see why. Forming an easygoing, dense semishrubby plant, princely pairs of serrated deep green leaves, polished and narrow, extend from reddish stems that respond well to pruning. Unbelievably profuse and long blooming, the tiny, white cupped flowers are a study in delicacy, each with a green eye and magenta ring, while populating loosely arranged terminal clusters. Roses, Geranium 'Orion' and Hydrangea 'Enziandom' spill over an unshorn evergreen hedge of Parahebe linifolia in our garden for a flowery summer time gala.
Free-branching shrub up to 5 or 6" tall with a woody base and erect or (occasionally rooting) sprawling branches to 8". The small, charming flowers are white or palest pink with red veins and a tiny green eye. Plants bloom in spring, summer, and fall. New Zealand.
