Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Deceptively tough, this delicate looking perennial thrives in any well drained soil and exposed position. Tolerant of considerable dryness over Summer, during which the willowy mounds of soft, feathery, grey-green leaves, are studded with lightly veined, luminous, pale blue-mauve, five petalled flowers. Best planted in large drifts, probably a good road verge plant. Found in dry sites throughout much of Europe. Hopefully self seeds on bare soil.
