Kniphofia galpinii is a broadleaf deciduous perennial bulb / corm / tuber with green foliage. In summer red flowers emerge. Grows well with sun and regular water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something seaside / salt tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

Dainty grass like foliage with 2' spikes of pure orange plumes mid summer. Much smaller in all respects than other Kniphofia. Needs excellent drainage in winter to thrive. Plant in full sun and water occasionally. Hardy to around 15° F.

A smaller species with bright green leaves to 2' long and slender, wiry stems bearing terminal spikes of flame-red flowers in autumn. The clonal selection we have been growing has coral-colored flowers. Hardy to 18 °F.
