Endemic to the Monterey Peninsula along with its sister Cupressus macrocarpa (the Monterey cypress), this tree is generally smaller, usually reaching 25', however it can be variable in nature (sometimes only 3' and occasionally 150'), this species is much rarer in the wild where its populations are scattered and sadly endangered, this tree boasts a softer, bright-yellow-green look, as compared to Monterey's lovely blue-green, they are beautiful planted together.
