Ceanothus impressus var. nipomensis 'Mesa Lilac' is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with green foliage. In spring lavender flowers emerge. Olive-green foliage is arranged densely on graceful, arching stems to 10' tall. Does well with little or no supplemental water and is quite shade tolerant. This California lilac is native to our area, the Nipomo Mesa, and offers a dramatic display of 2" lavender flower clusters in both spring and fall. Well-drained soils are a must. Hardy to 0 °F.
