Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This Mexican native blooms in October with many small light yellow flowers. Many times the foliage is still on the plant. The fragrance carries for yards. All hamamelis listed by Gossler Farms in the Fall/Spring 2024/2025 catalog are hardy to at least -12° in their Springfield, Oregon garden, and all are grafted plants.
Another plant with contentious naming, you will find information on this plant under both names. This plant's native range falls in Northern Mexico. It has similar lateral branching to other Witch Hazels, forming a multistemmed tree. Light to strong yellow flowers with narrow petals that appear as fringe when in full bloom. Foliage is dark green and heavily textured.
