Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Sometimes the name really makes the point, as is the case with this yellow-tipped mugo pine. Bright green needles have yellow points that are most prominent in winter. The coloring, most vibrant at the tips, gradually fades toward the base of the needles.
Bright green needles with yellow tips becoming a lighter yellow further down the branches. Color is intensified as the weather cools down in late fall and is most brilliant in winter.
This may be the same as yellow tip, there is some confusion about the name, tips of needles are yellow particularly in winter.
