Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The open globose form is unique for a mugo. Unlike most bun or globose mugo pines, the opening branching gives a great alpine look which makes it look so much older than it is. That said, this is not a fast grower.
Pinus mugo 'Paul's Dwarf' - Dwarf Mugo Pine (also commonly called Dwarf Swiss Mountain Pine) is a dwarf cultivar with a dense globose form that typically matures to 2-3’ tall with a similar spread, but is very slow-growing (2-3” per year) and is commonly seen as a 1-2’ tall plant. Features unusually short, medium to dark green needles (to 1” long) in bundles of two. Good for Bonsai!
