Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A Cistus introduction, this plant, found in a colony of beautiful specimens, comes as a particularly well-branched form, upright to 12-15' with warm orange bark, gray-green leaves, and the lightest of peach flowers in January and February. Fine small tree, perfect for a miniature garden specimen in sun to part shade. More water tolerant than most manzanitas given good drainage, though watering should be done sparingly and in cool parts of the day especially during hot weather. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
