Nursery contributed plant descriptions

We found this early flowering form of the chaparral currant blooming on the hillsides of California's Calaveris County in early December and fell in love with the dangling clusters of pearly pink flowers. A charming and easy plant that provides good cheer in early winter days and food for happy hummingbirds. To 6 ft tall and wide, these are drought tolerant, requiring only occasional summer water in lean soil and sun to nearly complete shade. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
