Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Has the brightest yellow flowers of any hamamelis yet. The brilliant flowers are borne in heavy clusters. Like H. 'Primavera' but much brighter yellow flowers. H. 'Arnold Promise' is a very nice plant, but is positively dull when compared to H. 'Sunburst'. All hamamelis listed by Gossler Farms in the Fall/Spring 2024/2025 catalog are hardy to at least -12° in their Springfield, Oregon garden, and all are grafted plants.
Sunshine on a shrub, this delight 8-12' upright grower has very pretty, large, lemony-yellow, thread-like blooms which are all the more appreciated as they appear in mid-to-late winter; a wonderful understory plant that is lovely again when it puts on its yellow fall color. S-PSh/M
Deciduous, vase-shaped, small tree that bursts with color in January and February when bright yellow, strappy flowers make their appearance. Foliage is green and turns to yellows and oranges in the fall, and may hang on the tree into the winter. Growth Rate slow
With larger lemon yellow flowers and a narrower, more upright growth habit Sunburst is a favorite here.
We grow all our witchhazels as small single stemmed trees; they will eventually get to 10'. Sunburst is my favorite yellow as the light-yellow flowers are so large. Upright growth habit. zone 6
Has abundant large pale yellow flowers with wine red calyx cups produced in January and February.
