Ceanothus cuneatus [Adair Village, OR] is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with blue and green foliage. In spring white flowers emerge. Attracts bees, beneficial insects and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. One of the most northerly collections of this silver-blue leaved, white-flowered California lilac, a chaparral component from Baja to western Oregon, this from dry, gravelly hills in the northern Willamette valley. Evergreen (silver!), to 4-5', forming rounded shrubs for places with summer drought and…..the Mediterranean look. Full sun with very good drainage. Should be frost hardy to 0 to 10 °F, USDA zone 7, or even colder.
