Tagetes lucida is a broadleaf semi-evergreen annual / biennial or perennial herb with green foliage. In fall and summer yellow flowers emerge. Attracts bees making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun and regular - low water. Drought tolerant once established. Does well in average and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant.

Lucida means shining; when these rich green shiny leaves are bruised a sweet anise scent fills the air. A winner in our trials, it looked perfect all summer and fall, not bothered by weather extremes or insects. Clusters of petite yellow blooms all season. Introduced in 1798, it once was known as Sweet-Scented Chili Marigold.
Tender perennial herb with fragrant orange edible flowers..foliage smells like root beer..also known as Mexican Tarragon..use the foliage like tarragon for cooking.
