Actually one of the best plants of any thing we grow. The flowers are coppery-orange. This is one of the best of all hamamelis. All hamamelis listed by Gossler Farms in the Fall/Spring 2024/2025 catalog are hardy to at least -12° in their Springfield, Oregon garden, and all are grafted plants.
This superb witch hazel has spectacular copper blooms that absolutely glow in late-winter or early-spring; dense clusters of deliciously fragrant flowers with each 1" twisted crinkled petals which are red at the base, orange in the middle and yellow at the tip; of vigorous 8-12' upright shrub with spreading habit and fiery orange-red fall color. S-PSh/M
Narrow crinkled flowers of orange and yellow illuminate the late winter garden. Position to catch the low winter sun to take full advantage of the color, and place where you'll see it in winter - near a driveway or near a window. Deciduous, vase-shaped, slow-growing shrub 8-15'H x 8-12'W. Minimum temperature: -20°F
Deciduous, vase-shaped, small tree or shrub with a fantastic display of fall color. The green leaves will turn an array of red, orange, and yellow. Long, twisted, orangish-red petals make us notice the fragrant flowers that appear in the cold of winter. Growth Rate slow, 4-5' in 10 yrs.
Jelena has distinct coppery-orange flowers with no fragrance. Exceptional fall color of yellow, orange and red tones.

Coppery-orange fragrant flowers on zigzag branches late-winter, orange to red fall color. Zones 6-9.
This is my personal favorite: the flowers are large and copper colored; the brown leaves fall off before the bloom arrives in January, and it is fragrant.
Occasionally sold as 'Copper Beauty', this is a hybrid of Chinese and Japanese witchhazels with astounding Fall color. Visit one of our favorite websites, Paghat.com for a series of photos of the amazing Fall color that she describes as colorful as a "carnival ride"! Varies from year to year and week to week passing through stages that almost seem florescent. The flowers are fragrant, spider-shaped and yellow infused with copper strap-shaped petals clustered on bare stems. Great Plant Picks - Miller Botanical Garden

This lovely floriferous Witchhazel bursts open with the first warming thaw of February. Amber yellow fragrant flowers are born on multibranched shrubs that slowly may grow to a height and width of 20' . Unlike some other cultivars of Hamamelis, 'Jelena' sheds her brown winter leaves before the flowers open. 24-30" plants for spring shipping.
Has kinked yellow-orange flowers that glow like copper emerging from a claret-red calyx cup. Rich red and orange fall color.
