Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Begonia ‘Marmaduke’ is a unique species with vaguely maple-shaped, chartreuse yellow leaves adorned with a flurry of burgundy red flecks. Grows in an upright clump. Begonias grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. They prefer high humidity and indirect sunlight. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. This makes a beautiful accent plant for a border or container, but is primarily used as a houseplant. Even works as a terrarium specimen. Protect from frost!
A grand begonia of impressive stature bringing a unique color variation to any collection. The maple-shaped leaves of neon yellow are speckled with a rich burgundy. Tall sprays of white flowers grace its presence in late winter, yet best of all it's an easy and rapid grower.
Beautiful rounded leaves of bronze and emerald speckled with rusty concentrations at the vein joints..a dramatic plant..white flowers
