A long succession of pinkish-white 10" plumes rising above mounds of soft, lobed leaves make this clump-former a delight. Sh-PSh/M
Foamflower is one of the showiest of all spring-blooming wildflowers and an excellent shade garden plant! The large white flower spikes are often accented with a tinge of pink, with handsome 'mapleleaf' foliage that stays attractive all summer, and turns a beautiful red in autumn. Tiarella cordifolia requires a rich soil. Hardy to Zones 4 - 7.
Clump-forming perennial resembling Heuchera with pointed lobed leaves coming directly from the rhizome; slower to spread than other Tiarellas. Narrow, erect stems with many small, fuzzy, white flowers tinged faintly pink. Useful to add delicacy in shaded rock gardens and as a groundcover where there is little foot traffic. Thrives in shade with rich soil that does not dry out. Regular water. Hardy to 0 °F. Appalachians.
Charming & pretty starry white flowers are tinged pink on this non-invasive ‘Foam Flower” native to Tennessee & Georgia. The 6” - 8” flower spikes appear in early spring & continue for about a month. The lovely evergreen maple - like leaves turn rosy - burgundy during winter. This “Foam Flower” does not form runners & so does not spread. Loves shade & good drainage. To 12"x12".
