Has a bright purple flower in January-February. This plant has a much richer fall color than H. vernalis 'Purpurea'. Best with light behind the plant to highlight the flowers.

Lovely and unusual, the plum colored, ribbon-like blooms emit a spicy fragrance when they make their much anticipated appearance in mid-winter. This 8-10' rounded bush with its dark-gray-green crinkled foliage is a delight year round! The scarlet fall color is another of its fine attributes to look forward to! S-PSh/M

Amethyst is something brand new in Witch Hazel flower color. Amethyst blooms in February here, with a burst of lavender-purple flowers appearing on bare stems. Fragrant flowers fill the garden with clean witch hazel scent.
