One of the very best of the red-flowering forms! The wonderfully spicy-fragrant, red to copper, thread-like, crinkled blooms on this gorgeous shrub are a real winter treat! Blooming as early as January, when you really need flowers! This 8-12' high and wide-spreading cultivar also provides handsome shades of yellow-orange-red fall color; magnificent at the woodlands edge. S-PSh/M
Deep copper-maroon, threadlike fragrant blooms in January - March are at their very best when back-lit by the sun. Large leaves reminiscent of Hazelnut leaves turn yellow, orange, and red in fall. 8' x 8' Minimum temperature: -20?F

They do best in partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil.
Red fragrant flowers late-winter on zigzag branches. Yellow-orange to red fall color. Zones 6-9.
We grow all of our witch hazels as single trunked small trees to 12'. Diane's red flowers come out in late winter. The fall color is the best of the witch hazels. zone 6
Astounding copper red to red petals with purple red calyx. Mildly fragrant, the petals turn bronze with age. Yellow, orange, red fall color is one of the best If you're more into the color of blooms and foliage than the fragrance, you can't beat this one. While there are shadings in the petals, the effect from a distance is near red.
