Ever Blooming! This new hydrangea is a long blooming cultivar that blooms on the new and old wood. This faithfully blooming plant has striking pastel colored petals layered against big heart shaped leaves. Like the other new wood blooming hydrangeas, colors fade to antique greens, reds and pinks when pigments age in the late summer months. Oak Hill blooms pale pink to lavender to pale blue, depending on the pH of the soil. Try this one today!
If you're collecting mopheads, Oak Hill is another for your repertoire. It's part of that reliable group of Endless Summer-like remontant bigleaf hydrangeas. Flowers vary from pastel to deep blue, purple, or pink - as always that depends on the pH and amount of aluminum available in the soil. The pictures show the flower color possibilities. Remontant means Oak Hill will rebloom a second time later in the summer or, should a frost kill the first round of spring flowers, it will regrow and set flower buds again so you'll at least get that second round.
