Four to five months of fabulous blooms. Red, blue and green petaled Autumn colored heads make this a beautiful dried hydrangea for your winter pleasure. In the spring and summer, it blooms deep pink to purple in neutral soils and a vivid blue in acid soil. Altona grows best in afternoon shade but I've seen this growing in full sun and looking fabulous in the Northwest US.
