Typically grown in orchid baskets as the Eye-Spot or Little Bulls Orchid sends upside down spikes of beautiful creamy white to yellow flowers with reddish brown eypespots at the base of the lip are borne in medium-sized clusters that emerge through the bottom of its container where they hang for all to enjoy. Wonderfully fragrant and certainly elegant these uniquely shaped flowers make for an interesting conversation piece. Summer flowering. The large wide, palm-like and pleated, rich green, evergreen foliage adds a pleasing look and texture to the topside of the basket as well.This is one of the first species of Orchids to be grown in horticulture. The Little Bulls Orchid is a beautiful and interesting, slowly but readily multiplying species when grown on bark in a large cedar basket under light shade. Divide after flowering has finished and growth has paused in late summer. Use a medium coarse red wood bark as a substrate for good results.
