Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The bluest of the blues! Blue Arrowleaf Sage produces large loose spikes of 1" vivid cobalt blue tubular flowers that are born nearly throughout the year on this hybrid Salvia. Blue Arrowleaf Sage has large velvety arrowhead shaped aromatic foliage that seems to retain it's tidiness throughout the growing season. This exciting Salvia hybrid has wonderful flower power and often begins flowering in winter in the greenhouse and will cycle in and out of bloom for most of the growing season. Although it lacks any cold hardiness it is certainly worthy as a container plant or treat it as an annual except in frost free areas. We suspect that this may be the same as the cultivar sold as 'Big Swing' but we cannot fully attest to that at this point.
