Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The gorgeous flowers of Siam Violet are hard to miss! The beautiful trumpets are broadly edged in a brilliant royal purple which quickly gives way to a bright fuchsia pink and finally fades to a brilliant white eye just before it touches the yellow throat. This Desert Rose is grafted with a 3.5-4" wide caudex.Desert Roses make easy and rewarding container plants. For best results grow them in a fast draining cactus-like soil and allow the soil to become moderately dry between waterings. Adeniums are heat and sun loving African desert tropicals that are closely related to Oleanders. Grow them out of doors once the danger of frosts are fully past or grow them indoors in a south, east, or west facing window that gets direct sun. They do go semi-dormant during the short days of winter and may drop much of their foliage but normally retain at least some leaves and flowering is best from late winter, spring, summer, and fall.
